the lack of light, the hollow sea, posioned beaches
So after watching top gear this week, i have to wonder was New Orleans ever any better? i mean really, was it any better? hasn't it been rebult to the level of squaler that it was before the storm hit? just no one was paying any attention then? because i've seen cities in worse shape than new orleans, and there was no disastor to blame them on, parts of mephis tenn, looked way worse, nearly every time i've driven through kanas city it's been at night, but there were still trees fallen over blocking the streets and such, people getting slaughtered by the cops, dealing drugs right off of the highway. Heck even new york used to be like that, i stopped counting when i got to twenty burned out cars along side the road, the last time i was there, over the summer, i only saw two. it's sort of wierd how i can see all of these things in other cities, but not in denver, sure denver i can point out old burned out cars and such, but there in people back yards, not along side busy highways. so was no really a nice place before the huricane? or do they just want to improve their lot afterwards? cause i don't really see any fault of it if that's all they are asking for. it's snowing again. it took me over an hour to get home from school today, there weren't any acidents, the roads wheren't bad, just there were to many slow people on them. it's times like this i'm glad to have a decent car with a good stero. but it's still incedibly depressing. really depressing. np: emily haines, dr blind the lonesome lows don't quite go away overnight, dr blind just presbie the blue ones
