i can fade worlds in and out with my mixing pattens
ok so i've got a question,
how is it that people can get mugged on the national mall.
i mean when i was wandering around there, not even a year ago, it seemed to be mostly cops, both undercover and uniformed. there were cops from all the fedeal agencyies, park police and locals.
granted, i was walking around during the day, normal business hours, maybe they all go home at five? and i could definaly see getting robed in some other areas of the city, i could see getting shot pretty easy in some areas.
still there were eight unquestioned cops, (not all uniformed, but all had guns obvious) plus at least two others who i think where cops at the lincon memorial. all that is is a marble gazebo, it's not even real building.
there were three or four i could see at the entrance to every building i passed, though not halls of congress oddly enough. no, capitol hill had about thrity on one side of the stairs, and not a one on the other side, which was the side i walked up. there were about a dozen at the door, and many more once they saw me walking down the stairs, i was so ready to rip into them for their stupidity, but once they saw me, about a half dozen escorted me off of the steps they didn't actually say anything to me but there was no question they were there for me. a couple of dozen more showed up around the buidling, but they never said anything. some of them were security gaurds, with walkie talkies and guns, but others where not.
but with all that police force all over, probably twenty at the washington mermioral, how could some one mangage to get robbed? much less muliple groups of people? i mean what are the chances you'd be robbing an undercover cop? i know i didn't see them all (or maybe i did? they need some better training if i did) basied on my expereiance, i'd say, if you just trageted the people walking around, since most of the cops where assigned a specific area, they didn't do much walked around, you'd have about a one in five chance of it being an undercover cop.
something else to think about, i was walking my dogs on the national mall, not exactly a normal occurance i gather, but it give you a much better view point to see if some one has a gun. the nice people, the cool cops, ask if they are friendly, not just the cops, but normal people too, just most of the normal people on the mall couldn't speak english, but when they bend down to pet the dogs, it becomes pretty obvious that they've got a gun, or more than one, i saw more than a couple of ankle holsters when there pants were suddenly to short to cover them... and then there are the assholes, the people who act wierd around dogs. i'm not talking about normal weirdness, since my dogs where on six foot leads, they weren't comeing near anyone who didn't want them around, and yet these people were suddenly nevous about the fourty and sixty pound dogs over on one side of the walk, some of them where staring, and when i made it obvious i saw them staring, they turned away, and well, either a lot of people in washington have abnormal growths sticking out from there waist band area, or they were cops. the most nervous of them where the ones who checked to make sure there piece was still there.
it's kind of wierd isn't it, the bush administation hasn't killed anyone directly has it? i mean they've outed spies and such (treason), they've killed over 2500 americans in iraq (war crimes), but how many people have turned up dead in lafete park? the guy who was sort of a part of the clinton adminisoration who shot himself without a gun? and his wasn't the only suspictious death.
and the thing is, i was going to use something like 2500 of our brothers or some shit like that. but i couldn't. people who go to war are differnt. there is no question of that. even the people who get drafted. i can understand that, i can still call them my brothers and sisters, they might not be happy with it, but i have no problem with it. my grandfathers who where in wwII, my great uncle who was a army ranger and was killed on the day peace was decarled. but this war is differnt. i can see the amricans wo died fighting terrorism in afgaistan, they could be my sister, my brohter. but the people who fought and died in iraq? they are not my brothers and sisters. they are an imprialist force, no question about it. yeah saddam did some awful things to his own people, but who was it who gave him the wepons to do it? who was it who had no objection to it? bushes adviors. the first bushes adviors, regans adviors, and now they are the ones running the show. those people are not my brothers, my cosisn who fought in iraq, he is not my brother, he is not related to me at all. even if he was just a pawn of the bush adminisantion.
